'Since moving to the Beara peninsula in 1991 and from partly growing up in the area, the native flora has been an irresistable subject for my painting. The re- ocurrence of various favourites annually never fails to inspire more work on the subject, looking again and making imagery from all that's around me, walking and driving through the countryside on a daily basis. I can only see that with other major interests along the way, the wild flower and meadow paintings will always continue.'
